the design team

Cloud Nine - the trading name of Kernow Eco Housing Ltd - was established in 2006.

We are experienced designers, engineers, architects, technologists and business people, and our aim is to make it easier for people to live a lower carbon life.

We believe we can do this by simplifying the delivery of building, heating and micropower technologies. Because this area is growing so quickly, the sheer diversity of opinions and options can be confusing and frustrating and, where this is the case, we hope to bring clarity and easier access.

The construction of our buildings draws on both timber manufacturing skills that have been decades in the making, as well as on the founders' cutting edge work in bringing new technology to market.

 

We are based in Cornwall, an area buoyant with businesses developing new eco friendly products.

Our manufacturing is based in Poland, where there is a rich source of soft and hardwood timber and manufacturing experience. Rather than import from the Baltic countries the roughly 13 tons of timber needed for each module and then process it here, we've developed a new modular building system by which complete houses are constructed at the timbers source then transported to the UK.

Working this way allows us to charge very competitive prices for our contemporary designs.
